About The Book

Some Feelings Ask to Be Read Slowly

A Quiet Place Inside Me gathers forty-one interconnected poems into an intimate journey across affection, heartbreak, faith, loneliness, acceptance, and renewal. Sandeep Singh Madan begins with the warmth of early attachment, then gradually moves toward distance, loss, spiritual questioning, and a quieter understanding of self.

The collection unfolds across four thematic sections, each marking a shift in emotional perspective. Romantic hope appears beside childhood recollections, family bonds, migration, unanswered affection, and the ache of living far from home. Later poems turn toward prayer, doubt, mercy, human suffering, and the complicated relationship between belief and disappointment. The closing pieces lean into self-worth, survival, and the courage to continue without pretending that old wounds simply vanish.

Meet The Author

Sandeep Singh Madan

Currently based in Germany, Sandeep Singh Madan draws poetry from places people often struggle to name. He brings together personal reflection, spiritual inquiry, family memory, migration, nature, and emotional honesty in his debut collection, A Quiet Place Inside Me.

His path to poetry has been shaped by curiosity as much as experience. Away from the page, Sandeep enjoys football, guitar, cybersecurity, cooking, and moments outdoors that often spark new ideas. Those varied interests reveal a mind drawn to both structure and feeling, logic and imagination. Poetry gives him room to explore the space between them.

Testimonials

Words From Readers

Some poems hit closer to home than I expected. The way Sandeep writes about love, loss, and faith feels honest without being overdone. Highly recommended!

Tony Palmer

I really liked how personal the collection felt. A few poems reminded me of old conversations and people I haven’t thought about in years. The artwork also fits the mood beautifully.

Annie Jennings

I ended up reading this much slower than I normally read poetry. Some pieces made me stop for a minute before moving on, and the imagery gave each poem its own atmosphere. A must-read.

Emily Meyers

The poems don’t try to make difficult feelings easy to understand. I appreciated the honesty in the pieces about loneliness, belonging, and self-doubt. A good pick for anyone who enjoys poetry that feels personal and easy to connect with.

Jackson

I liked how simple things such as flowers, benches, and quiet places carried so much emotion. Some poems felt very personal, especially the ones touching on faith and uncertainty. I can see myself coming back to a few of them again.

Julien Jacobs

I was especially drawn to the poems about finding your place in life after things don’t go as planned. Sandeep Singh Madan captures those moments of uncertainty in a way that feels familiar. Bravo!
